Course Objectives
The objectives of the course are:
- Develop a "hands-on" skill set targeted at
Wireless technology and IP Routing in the following key areas:
- 802.11
- 802.16
- IP Addressing and Subnetting
- Routing protocols and the control plane of IP
- Wireless Quality of Service with IP
- Be able to design Wireless IP networks and subnetworks using
addressing expertise developed in this class

properties of Antennas, Radios, and IP Quality of Service

Attain a fundamental
understanding of Voice over IP over Wireless, Video over IP
over Wireless and Multicast Services

Target Audience
The target audience for this course is anyone in the
telecommunications field that requires a solid and complete understanding of the
fundamental operations of Wireless and TCP/IP in networking and desires hands-on skills that can be applied to

Course Pre-requisites
CellStream has designed this course to appeal to anyone
needing the skills and knowledge of Wireless and TCP/IP Networking. The ideal
student will have some experience in network operations. No prior
knowledge is necessary.
All students must attend with a lap-top computer in order
to interface to the CellStream Lab. If the course is held at a classroom
where computers are available, the Lap-top computer will not be required.
