This is a common question I get asked at many of my classes.
The short answer is that I really can't keep track of it all - I don't think anyone can. But here is how I track what I can:
First - I often read the technical sections of the following news sites:
- cnn.com
- newyorktimes.com
- msnbc.com
- mercurynews.com
Second - I watch Internet videos using the following sites or by subscribing to their podcasts:
- wimp.com
- youtube.com
- viralvideochart.com
- geetbeat.tv
- webbeat.tv
Third - I use the following sites
- techcrunch.com
- tekzilla.com
- engadget.com
- mashable.com
- killerstartups.com
- techmeme.com
- geeksugar.com
- urlesque.com
- knowyourmeme.com
- whatthetrend.com
- google.com/trends
Hope that helps.
