There are a number of great options for accomplishing this task such as GoToMyPC.com among others.  But usually these are pay sites after a free 30 day trial.

One that I used recently with a Microsoft Support Engineer was www.zolved.com.  It was as easy as pie, and it cost nothing!

Here is how to use it:

  • click on the connect tab inside the "Get help from a friend" box.
  • click on show a computer
  • click the install.  A dialog will pop up.
  • Select the location, then pick the appropriate level of sharing from the dropdown.  Share the secret pin with your friend, agree to the terms check box, and click on share my pc.
  • Done!

Enjoy!!
