What Broadband services are offered in my area?
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has recently made a great web site available to all of us that maps and lists broadband service providers, by area. Simply go to this link: www.broadbandmap.gov The online broadband database apparently holds more than 25 million records detailing where service is available; technology used to provide service; maximum advertised speeds; and names of service providers. All you have to do is enter your address (you can be general like town and state) and you will receive a report. You can also advise of errors in the database from the output screen. Enjoy! |
Telecom Italia reported at the November 2011 IPv6 conference that one of their biggest challenges was to get their staff trained on IPv6. Make sure your organization has a plan to train their staff, not just their network engineers on IPv6. You can find IPv6 training classes here.
