TFTP Protocol Profile with Packet Diagram (Wireshark v3.3.0 and later)
TFTP is designed to be a stripped-down file transfer protocol without authentication or many of the features that FTP and other protocols offer. Instead, it has two main options: file read requests and file write requests. TFTP is an insecure file transfer protocol with many more secure alternatives. If TFTP traffic exists in a network traffic capture, it is a good idea to track down and disable the TFTP server in use. TFTP should also be blocked at the network boundary, and TFTP clients on internal workstations should be disabled to prevent it from being misused.
What has Changed
1. We have modified the columns to focus on TFTP
2. We have added custom display filter buttons focused on TFTP
3. We have selected the packet diagram view preference with values turned on.
4. We have changed colors for a more vivid experience. Color haters can tuen colorization off or you can modify these colors to ones you like.
Start using this TFTP profile right away and you will see, it is like the springboard for your troubleshooting and packet analysis.
