Ethernet 101 – The Basics of Ethernet provides a practical introduction to how Ethernet networks operate. Students learn the fundamentals of Ethernet LANs, Ethernet addressing, frame structure, and the devices used to connect systems and forward Ethernet traffic.

Course Description
Ethernet 101 introduces the fundamental principles and technologies behind Ethernet Local Area Networks.
Students begin with the basic concepts of Ethernet and LAN communications before examining Ethernet frames and MAC addressing. The course then explores the roles of hubs, bridges, and switches and how these devices affect the movement of traffic through an Ethernet network.
