Just Updated: Our Favorite Source of US Travel Information

Since 2023, we have shared information that helps folks that travel the western US. We learned about this site that has live cameras and warnings of road conditions, travel information, traffic cams, weather warnings, incidents, and much more from a colleague (thank you Doug Galarus!), and have used it on our many road trips to and around the west coast. Well, they just updated the map to include more central northern content covering almost to Kansas City and Chicago!

Are you traveling the western US?? Do you live there? Want to see these traffic cams and more?

You can now enlarge post/share or get weather for that location. Quality of the images will vary. Some cameras will pan showing multiple directions. Some are still images and some are live moving views.

Clicking on warnings will present you with a brief description of what is happening:

Anyone traveling on surface roads to the western US should use this tool before they travel, and as they travel.
